The School of Law at the University of Leeds is one of the leading law schools in the UK and has been providing instruction in law since inception in 1899.

Ranked 7th in the UK for Law by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2017, and 3rd in the UK for Criminology by The Guardian University Guide, 2018, we are equally proud that this quality is felt by our students with 96% overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey, 2016. Leeds is a Russell Group university which was selected as University of the Year (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2017) and our research in the Law School is known for its quality and impact, achieveing 4th place in the UK for these areas in the Research Excellence Framework, 2014.
