Study

The MSc Marketing degree offered by Norwich Business School exposes students to the interrelated functions of management then allows them to consider the implications of specialist marketing approaches. The aim of the programme is to develop the next generation of marketing managers who can thrive in complex business environments. This degree is designed to meet the needs of graduates who have not previously specialised in management, or who have studied the subject in a non-UK context.

The MSc Marketing has been approved and accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to provide direct entry onto the CIM's Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (senior marketing management experience also required).

Structure

Teaching is provided by members of academic staff, often in a relatively informal learning environment, with programmes incorporating lectures, seminars, and practical work. Assessment is usually by essays and other written assignments, written or oral examinations, and projects.

The Postgraduate MSc degree programmes offered by Norwich Business School adopt an approach to teaching and learning which is designed to promote academic achievement as well as developing the potential for future managerial excellence.

Employability

The course has a number of features that make it attractive to prospective students and to employers seeking to recruit dynamic marketing managers with a great ROI. For example, there is a final cash prize of £1,000 to best student on the MSc programme, plus opportunities for funded PhD studies, and the opening of up recruitment opportunities through interaction with businesses and the University careers service.

Entry requirements

Open to applicants with a minimum 2.2 degree (or equivalent) in all subjects excluding Business or Management (unless studied in a non-UK context).
