About UK Research Centre in NDE, Imperial College London

The group is a lead member of the Research Centre in Nondestructive Evaluation (RCNDE). The Centre was formed in 2003 and is based at a consortium of universities led by Imperial College and University of Strathclyde. The other founder members of the consortium are the Universities of Bristol, Manchester, Nottingham and Warwick. RCNDE is now operating on a renewed contract from EPSRC for 2014-2020.

The Centre aims to combine innovative technical excellence with industrial applicability. It functions as an industrial club and research projects of interest to club members are eligible for a further £1.1M pa matched funding from EPSRC. Current industrial members are Rolls-Royce, Airbus, dstl, RWE, Shell, BP, Alstom, SERCO Assurance, Petrobras, EDF, E.ON, Tenaris, and HSE. The Centre also offers Engineering Doctorates.
