About Bachelor of Business Administration in International Hospitality Management at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management

The Bachelors programme at EAHM runs for 3 years where students will gain a good understanding of what is hospitality, how it is run and the way it exists in a city like Dubai. Students will gain a holistic view of the world of hospitality by studying primary subjects such as Front Office Operations, F&B servicing, Events and Housekeeping. Along with hospitality specialised courses, they will upskill themselves in basics such as Finance, Economics and Human Resource.

During the programme, there will be a 6-month internship that will be required to be done by the students. Studying from a renowned triple accredited hospitality school in the epitome of hospitality, students are presented with a red carpet of golden opportunities which they will be placedfor by our Industry Liaison Manager and Program Coordinator.

The faculty provided by EAHM come from very high-quality backgrounds and qualifications, well equipped to offer the best teaching approach and transfer the best of their knowledge and capabilities to our students. Students around the world also have an option to transfer their credits to EAHM as well, provided the courses are compatible to that of EAHM.

By the end of the course, students would have learned to acquire foremost hospitality knowledge, hands-on experience, and management abilities, prepares for a successful career in international hospitality management, apply practical and academic learning into the workpalce and hone their skills in a speciality that will set them apart from the competition in the job market on the world. Students will be well armed and qualified to take up any role in any industry with a background knowledge of hospitality.

Entry requirements

Before you apply, you must be nearing graduation or you must have already graduated from high school. This means that the entire curriculum must be successfully completed. Entry requirements are:

  • UAE Ministry of Education Curriculum – Year 10-12 – Advance/Elite Track (70%); General Track (75%) or its equivalent in the international standards. In addition, an EmSAT 600 score in Arabic and Math (or its equivalent). 
  • US High School Diploma: Year 10-12, 70% (2.8/4.0) with SAT 450 in Math.
  • UK IGCSE/GCSE/GCE (O/AS/A Levels): Year 10-13: Equivalent to 2 A Levels min Grade C, complete min 5 O Levels min grade E.
  • Europe International Baccalaureate Diploma: Year 10-13, 26 points overall.
  • India CBSE: Year 10+2, 60%.
  • China: Senior Secondary School Certificate: Year 10-12, 70% Satisfactory.

All applicants must pass a personal interview set by EAHM.

We accept students from all backgrounds and educational systems. Please get in touch with us to find out the minimum grade point average required as per the curriculum you are studying.

English Proficiency

English Language proficiency is mandatory. To evaluate your English level, you must take the IELTS or the TOEFL exams, which are standardized tests designed for this purpose.

The minimum scores that we accept are: 

  • TOEFL iBT (Internet Based Test): 71 - please be sure to include EAHM's institutional TOEFL code (7116) when booking the test. 
  • IELTS Academic: 5.5

Achieving one of these scores is a mandatory requirement from the UAE Ministry of Education for all students, regardless of their country of origin.

Once you arrive at EAHM, you will take an English Diagnostic Test during Orientation Week. This will help us identify the need for additional support that you may require from your teachers during the first trimester.
