Entry requirements
Academic Prerequisites
Applicants must present evidence of completing a bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by the Puerto Rico Council of Higher Education or a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting organization.
GPA
A minimum GPA of 2.75 on a four-point scale is required.
Official Transcripts
All official transcripts must be sent directly from the institutions you attended to PHSU. Transcripts forwarded by the applicant will not be accepted and will be considered unofficial.
Language Requirement
Students who are not fluent in Spanish and English, must pass language assessment evaluation by PHSU.
Letters of Recommendation
Submit two letters of recommendation that provide input from people in responsible positions who can comment on your academic employment or volunteer performance, character, and interest. For undergraduates, this often means professors, academic advisors, or employers.
Resume or CV and Personal Statement
Submit a detailed resume or curriculum vitae outlining your skills, achievements, and any exposure to the healthcare field. Provide a personal statement answering the question: why do you want to continue your studies with a degree in public health?
Clean Background Check
A negative background check will result in a rejection or termination from the program.
Interview
Attend a personal interview, which includes verification of Spanish and English fluency.
