At each Stage, you spend two thirds of your time studying linguistics, concentrating on the structure, history and social aspects of English and language in general.

You spend the remaining third of your time studying Spanish language and culture, which is available from:

  • beginners' level
  • intermediate level (post-GCSE or equivalent)
  • advanced level (post-A level or equivalent)

An exciting element of this degree is a year abroad in Stage 3, working or studying in a Spanish-speaking country, developing your language confidence and experiencing another culture.
