Course accreditation

This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, so when you graduate with at least a Second Class Honours, you are eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartership, the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.

Entry requirements

For September 2025 entry: 112-128 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent. 

Required subjects: All subjects considered.

Foundation year entry requirements for September 2025: 48-72 UCAS tariff points.

For September 2025 entry: If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four components or equivalent. 

Please see below some examples of the qualifications for entry onto Year 1 for September 2024 and September 2025 entry:

  • China: Chinese Senior High School Graduation Certificate (Huikao) average 80%, or Gaokao 66%. Grade depends on the course  
  • France: Baccalaureate with 12 overall or 11 (international option)  
  • Hong Kong: HKDSE Diploma (4,4,3 from three subjects). Grade depends on the course  
  • India: All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Standard XII) 65%  
  • Spain: Titulo de Bachillerato with 6.5. Grade depends on the course  
  • Turkey: Devlet Lise Diplomasi/Lise BitirmeDiplomasi 3.5/5.0 or 70%
