Study a Gender Studies Masters in Sweden in 2025

Gender studies as an academic field looks at gender identity and the representation of different genders. Historically, gender studies has been referred to as women's studies and encompassed topics such as feminism and politics. But over the years, the field has evolved to overlap with other areas, like queer studies and men's studies, and is now inclusive of more people and genders.

There are several career paths associated with a masters degree in gender studies. These include psychology, healthcare, human resources and public and private sector work, among others.

Your masters degree will be delivered through lectures and seminars, with a significant emphasis on your final independent project or dissertation. Modules you could study include:
