The majority of auditing courses are offered at the postgraduate study level. Courses last for one year if you choose to study full-time, or three years if you choose to study part-time.
Topics you can expect to study include risk management, strategic management, financial risk, advanced internal audit, internal audit practice, internal audit environment, and consultancy. Such a combination of topics will stand students in good stead when it comes to understanding auditing and business management.
Auditing courses are still fairly new, and were developed due to the attention paid to risk and assurance, especially from a political and socio-economic point of view. The skills that you will acquire from your degree include advanced numeracy skills, communication skills, and analytical skills, while a methodical approach to problem solving will also be honed.
