An agribusiness degree combines agricultural science and business, focusing on management and marketing in the agricultural sector, as well as understanding the needs of those working in the sector. You will gain an insight into both the production and marketing side of the supply chain, developing your knowledge of the relationship between the suppliers, producers and consumers.
An undergraduate degree in agribusiness will provide you with a good foundation of knowledge in the area. You will study modules on agricultural business, business management, agriculture and food, and life sciences. Your understanding of business in general will be developed, and you will become more familiar with the management side of agriculture.
Your degree will be delivered through a mixture of modes. These will include lectures and seminars, as well as practical sessions and field trips. You might be presented with the opportunity to take part in a placement module or year, which will allow you to gain real-life experience.
