Students undertaking English and Spanish at Queen's explore the literatures and languages of both traditions in the widest possible sense. From the earliest writings in Anglo-Saxon to contemporary Irish, British, and 'global' literatures, students study English in its historical, linguistic, cultural and ideological circumstances and material manifestations. As the world's second most widely spoken language, Spanish is a vibrant and growing subject and a doorway into a variety of rich and fascinating cultures across world.
