Our LLM Law will develop your legal expertise – whether you’re new to the field or want to take your career to the next level. Enjoy flexibility and the freedom to choose from modules that match your interests and ambitions.
Surrounded by legal experts
We’re carrying out leading research in a variety of areas – international law and human rights, crime, child and family justice, law and society, and more. All this work means our teaching on legal, jurisprudential and socio-legal issues is always informed by the latest practice.
Our Research Methods in Law module will give you insight into theoretical approaches to the study of law, as well as practical guidance on research design and ethics.
Carry out your own in-depth project
You’ll apply your knowledge to a dissertation which will address a key legal question or issue. Past students have looked at areas like terrorism, breaches of human rights in the garments industry, and legal issues in VR and the metaverse.
Carrying out your own research is a brilliant opportunity to contribute to the legal and academic community with new, original research and writing. You’ll have support from your supervisor throughout every step of the process.
