The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is located in one of the most fascinating European regions, at the crossroads between the German-speaking and Italian economies and cultures. Its trilingualism in teaching and research, its high level of internationalisation as well as an ideal study environment guaranteed by its excellent facilities are some of the reasons why unibz regularly reaches top positions in national and international rankings. South Tyrol is also famous for regularly topping the rankings for the quality of life and for its cultural offer and top leisure facilities. This makes unibz an ideal environment to study and do research.
We are a niche university. Our programmes and our research are the result of a tight link with our territory. At the same time, our university also has a strong international outlook. We offer more than 20 trilingual courses in the following disciplines: Economics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Education, Communication as well as Design and Art. Some of our masters are taught in only English.
At the three campuses of Bozen-Bolzano, Brixen-Bressanone and Bruneck-Brunico students can rely on excellent services and individual tutoring. Our classes, taught by lecturers of 10 different nationalities, are held in small groups. This helps lecturers get to know students and monitor their progress better. Our university has established international exchange programmes with more than 100 universities in Spain, USA, Taiwan and many other countries.
