About Visual Communication, MA - at Berlin School of Business and Innovation

Are you looking for a master's which will boost your career prospects in the creative arts? BSBI is proud to offer a master's programme in Visual Communication in partnership with the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). This programme is offered as part of BSBI's Faculty of Creative Industries in Hamburg, Germany.

Berlin School of Business and Innovation is in partnership with University for the Creative Arts (UCA). As a result of this partnership, BSBI is able to offer the MA Visual Communication programme. UCA is an acclaimed creative institution in the UK that ranks highly in all three of the major UK league tables. The university has also been ranked 13th out of all UK universities in the Guardian League Table 2020; and ranked no.7 in the 2021 Guardian League Tables for Business, Management & Marketing.

On this 18-month programme, you will explore the ways in which you can convey messages and meaning through a diverse range of media - from illustration and motion to digital - and you'll be encouraged to develop new skills to strengthen and inform your design language.

Entry requirements

Minimum age: 21

Academic qualifications:

Strong undergraduate degree from a recognised university or equivalent qualification in the subject or a related discipline.

If you do not meet the academic requirements, you may be assessed based on 3 years of relevant work experience (illustration, animation, graphic design or general visual communication), demonstrating your ability to study at postgraduate level.

Fees, Funding and Scholarships at Berlin School of Business and Innovation

Whether you’re an undergraduate or postgraduate student, BSBI would like all students to have the opportunity to study in Berlin, regardless of their financial status.

BSBI scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need and can be given out for several reasons. They’re designed to support you throughout your studies with us and help you with general living costs. Our scholarships are non-repayable, and you have the freedom to spend it on anything you require from books and equipment to rent and utilities. You can only apply for one bursary or scholarship type in any single year.

Leadership and Enterprise Scholarship

This scholarship, endorsed by the CEO, is awarded based on the following criteria:

Academic merit

You must show that you will be expected to succeed and benefit from your chosen programme and explain what you would like to gain from it.

Personal statement

You will need to write a personal letter of 250 words on how your chosen programme will impact your future.

Financial need

You must show how you could not enrol into the programme without the scholarship.
