Our interdisciplinary 18-month MA Game Design course-a dynamic and immersive programme tailored to elevate your expertise in the rapidly evolving world of interactive entertainment. Our MA Game Design equips students for the dynamic digital games industry where rapid growth demands skilled practitioners to drive innovation. Taught by game studies academics and industry experts, this course delves into game development within an industrial context. You'll build your portfolio as a solo developer or collaborator, culminating in a final major project to create a digital game product.
Berlin School of Business and Innovation is in partnership with University for the Creative Arts (UCA). As a result of this partnership, BSBI is able to offer the MA Game Design programme. UCA is an acclaimed creative institution in the UK that ranks highly in all three of the major UK league tables. Academic qualifications:
- Successful completion of a bachelor's degree from a recognised university
- Consideration will also be given to applicants with a minimum of 3 years relevant managerial experience, demonstrating an ability to study at postgraduate level.
If you do not meet the academic requirements, you may be assessed based on 3 years of relevant work experience (illustration, animation, graphic design or general visual communication), demonstrating your ability to study at postgraduate level.

Whether you’re an undergraduate or postgraduate student, BSBI would like all students to have the opportunity to study in Berlin, regardless of their financial status.
BSBI scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need and can be given out for several reasons. They’re designed to support you throughout your studies with us and help you with general living costs. Our scholarships are non-repayable, and you have the freedom to spend it on anything you require from books and equipment to rent and utilities. You can only apply for one bursary or scholarship type in any single year.
Leadership and Enterprise Scholarship
This scholarship, endorsed by the CEO, is awarded based on the following criteria:
Academic merit
You must show that you will be expected to succeed and benefit from your chosen programme and explain what you would like to gain from it.
Personal statement
You will need to write a personal letter of 250 words on how your chosen programme will impact your future.
Financial need
You must show how you could not enrol into the programme without the scholarship.
