About Humanities at Anglo American University

The M.A. in Humanities program engages students in innovative intellectual work. In small, interactive classes, students learn to apply analysis and research methods from the social sciences, arts, literature, cultural and religious worldviews, and philosophy.

The two-year Master of Arts in Humanities program offers an applied approach to the practice of humanities. Students develop academically and professionally as they become experts in humanistic work, including visual culture, arts, and cultural management, popular culture and media theory, modern intellectual history, and advanced literary studies and critique.

Anglo-American University's international faculty is a great resource to students looking for a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary humanities program in Prague. The M.A. in Humanities is also ideal for students who are looking to strengthen their candidacy for Ph.D. programs, and for those looking for an alternative to MFA programs.

What students think about Anglo American University

Ann Connolly, Business Administration, United States of America

Testimonial from Ann Connolly, Business Administration, United States of America, student at Anglo American University

We do almost all of our projects in small international teams, and we work together like we would in a business company and synergize our different ideas. There's flexibilities to meet with teachers outside of class, and ask them questions, not just specifically things we learn in the class.

Benjamin Rodenburg, International Relations & Diplomacy, Fiji

Testimonial from Benjamin Rodenburg, International Relations & Diplomacy, Fiji, student at Anglo American University

With the American WASC accreditation, the multitude of exchange options, and being in the heart of Europe, AAU was an easy choice for me. Despite its small size AAU is a hot pot of language and culture that poses nothing but benefit when engaging in discussion in or out of the classroom.

Katherine Dedukh, Journalism & Media, Ukraine/Estonia

Testimonial from Katherine Dedukh, Journalism & Media, Ukraine/Estonia, student at Anglo American University

AAU is more than a university, it’s a very special community that helps create special bonds with teachers and classmates. It doesn’t put you into the box but rather teaches you to be yourself and choose your own path. It gives you just enough autonomy and support to achieve your goals.
