I decided to study here as I felt that they had excellent links within the financial services industry and had courses that were tailor made for those interested in getting into a career in financial services.
I enjoyed the interactive learning as the class sizes were smaller, therefore it was a lot easier to communicate with the lecturers (who all have a wealth of relevant experience and knowledge within the industry) and ask any questions. I also enjoyed the events and I was involved in the committee responsible for organising these events for a while.
I believe that the knowledge gained and the links that they have within the financial services industry helped me to get my first internship with Barclays. This is turn helped me get my current role with HSBC. It is also interesting knowing that most graduate programs (HSBC for one) send their graduate trainees to The London Institute of Banking & Finance to build up their base knowledge in the financial industry. This meant that I came out a step ahead in terms of my base knowledge, allowing me to kick start my banking career and hit the ground running.
