Distance Learning

The University of Dundee has over 40 years’ experience of delivering distance learning courses.

Whether you are a professional looking to upskill in your own area or just want to learn something new, the University of Dundee offers over 70 undergraduate and postgraduate distance learning courses, with subjects ranging from Childhood Studies to Records Management.

Dundee prides itself on the quality and flexibility of its distance learning courses and has extensive connections with professional bodies, ensuring the professional courses on offer are current and recognised

English language

All courses at the University of Dundee are taught in English. If your first language is not English, you will need to demonstrate that you meet the University’s English language requirements for the course you have applied for. This can be done by taking a proficiency test such as IELTS, providing a previous qualification that confirms your English language level or passing the University of Dundee language course.

If you haven’t taken an English language test yet or don’t have a current valid test score, you can still apply for courses but any offer you receive will normally be conditional on meeting our language requirement.

Employability

Dundee’s dedicated Careers Service offers a range of services to help students and graduates to enhance their employability and pursue their career goals. Careers Advisers are available to support students at every stage of their degree and after they graduate, with one-to-one appointments, CV clinics and mock interviews on offer. The online JobShop is a resource available to help students search for part-time work, internships, volunteering opportunities and graduate employment. Other resources available include career planning modules and the Dundee Plus Award, which aims to encourage students to develop skills that employers look for and adds value to the activities students engage with outside of their degree.
