About Bachelor of Business at Western Sydney University

With our revamped Bachelor of Business, you're the boss. Start your major in your first year of study. Combine business units with majors and electives from across the whole university for a more diverse and adaptive skill set. Mix theory with real world industry projects. Gain industry-specific accreditation from Australia's leading institutions.

A business degree with a major difference

With today's fast pace of change, you need a business degree that's going to keep up. It's why we've revamped our Bachelor of Business to be more tailored to evolving industry, technology and careers.

With a course structure unique to Western, you build your degree to best suit your area of specialisation. Unlike traditional degrees, you can now choose majors outside the business stream to give you a more diverse set of skills and knowledge. What's more, with Western, you begin your major in the first year of study. No more waiting to dive into the areas that interests you most.

Depending on the majors and electives you choose, the Bachelor of Business can also see you graduate with industry specific accreditation from Australia's leading institutions.

World-class facilities

Taught across four campuses, including our brand-new Parramatta City campus, Western offers the latest in high-tech learning and teaching facilities.

It includes 14 storeys of deep knowledge and digitally-infused teaching and research spaces, encased in 5-green-star steel and glass. The facility is testament to Western's commitment to adopting new and emerging technologies, so our students enjoy a richer educational experience. The campus also maintains close links to industry partners such as Charter Hall, Deloitte, and community and government organisations.

Industry accreditation

Depending on your major, you graduate ready to join Australia's leading Industry bodies, like CPA, FINSIA and the Australian Property Institute.

CPA Australia is one of the world's largest accounting bodies operating in 125 countries and regions around the world. Employees and members work together with local and international bodies to represent the views and concerns of the profession to governments, regulators, industries, academia and the general public.

What students think about Western Sydney University

Christine Yujian Tang - China, Master of Creative Industries

Testimonial from Christine Yujian Tang - China, Master of Creative Industries, student at Western Sydney University

Not only did I get a feeling of what the industry, the media, the news and journalism is like, I got a taste of what that operating system is like - how to present in front of an audience and how to film it.

Isam Al-Handola - Iraq, Master of Public Health

Testimonial from Isam Al-Handola - Iraq, Master of Public Health, student at Western Sydney University

I feel that I have made the best choice - especially because of the technology-infused learning. I love the way the course is taught using a multimedia approach, and that it has access to a whole online library to read material for tutorials and research assignments.

Dibya Shree Chhetry - Nepal, Master of Social Work (Qualifying)

Testimonial from Dibya Shree Chhetry - Nepal, Master of Social Work (Qualifying), student at Western Sydney University

I learned the skills of interviewing a client and it was really fruitful for me to get the chance to understand what a social worker really does in practice.
