This degree aims to enable students to complete a postgraduate program that will lead to an advanced level of knowledge in a specialised area of engineering. The Graduate Certificate of Engineering Technology (Agricultural Engineering) is ideal for engineers or scientists who have a three-year degree in science, engineering or technology and want to extend their knowledge of agricultural engineering. Through this four unit degree, students have the option to select from a range of courses (subjects) which will empower them to address issues related to sustainable agricultural production. Courses include agricultural materials and post-harvest technologies, soil science, GPS smart technology and engineering hydrology. Students could take the credit from their studies and go on to complete the master of engineering technology. As an agricultural engineering graduate, students could work in agriculture, irrigation, intensive livestock, processing, transport, forestry, water supply, soil conservation, environmental protection and water conservation both in Australia and overseas.
