USQ is the only provider of agricultural engineering degrees in Australia and New Zealand, and we have links to world class research with the National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture.
The Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science (Agricultural Engineering) is ideal if you have a three year engineering degree and you want to extend your knowledge and practical experience in agricultural engineering at a postgraduate level.
Through this eight unit degree, you will do a combination of advanced study and practice of agricultural engineering, empowering you to address problems relating to sustainable agricultural production, precision agriculture and the post-harvest handling of agricultural and other primary products.
When you complete your Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science you could take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Master of Engineering Science where you will have the opportunity to do a research project and dissertation to apply your formal knowledge to a real world issue.
As an agricultural engineering graduate, you could work in agriculture, irrigation, intensive livestock, processing, transport, forestry, water supply, soil conservation, environmental protection and water conservation both in Australia and overseas.
The Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science is not accredited by any professional bodies other than the University of Southern Queensland. It does however provide a pathway to the Master of
Engineering Science which is provisionally accredited with Engineers Australia for membership as a graduate Professional Engineer.
