About Mechanical Engineering with German at University of Sheffield

This course combines the study of core mechanical engineering topics with language modules. You'll have the chance to spend your third year studying mechanical engineering with one of our partner universities in Germany.

This degree gives you a solid grounding in mechanical engineering. It covers all the essentials, with an emphasis on modelling and design. You'll be introduced to business and management in an engineering context, and you'll complete an individual project in an area that interests you.

In years one and two, you'll study the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, mathematics and management. You'll also take German language modules at an appropriate level to prepare you for your time in Germany.

During your third year you'll have the opportunity to study at one of our partner universities in Germany, such as Ruhr-Universit

Entry requirements

You must demonstrate that your English is good enough for you to successfully complete your course. For this course we require: GCSE English Language at grade C/4; IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component; or an alternative acceptable English language qualification
