You'll study the fundamentals of neuroanatomy and neurobiology to better understand the clinical features of patients with neurodegenerative disease and the molecular and cellular mechanisms underpinning these devastating disorders. You'll also learn how insights from the laboratory are translated into benefits for patients.
The course is focused around the University's research strengths, including motor neurone disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
You'll be encouraged to develop your communication skills and taught how to apply your knowledge to real-world situations.
