About International Law and World Order at University of Reading

This degree focuses on the interplay between International Law and International Relations. It aims to provide students with an introduction to theoretical and practical approaches to both disciplines and to set students on a path towards the development of interdisciplinary analysis of the two disciplines. It draws on teaching and research from both the school of Law and the Graduate Institute of Political and International Studies (GIPIS). Teaching and assessment is ordinarily through seminars, written work, presentations and written examination.

Programme content

The Programme consists of four taught modules and a dissertation. As part of the taught element, all students will be required to undertake the core modules in International Law and World Order and Research Methods along with two options from the list detailed below.
