The School's research engages with the most fundamental political questions of our time. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF), we were rated in the top fifteen in the UK for research power, with 96% of our research activity being rated as of international standard.
Our research activity is organised around the School's Centres and Institutes. This framework provides an integrative and dynamic environment for staff to pursue individual and collective research projects.
These research projects have led to the regular production of high quality publications by staff, awards and prizes and frequent hosting of seminars and conferences. We are also home to a number of key journals in the discipline.
