About Microbiology at University of Nottingham

The School of Molecular Medical Sciences has recently restructured to include the Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation to which the majority of staff are linked. Staff are also members of the Institutes of Genetics, Neuroscience and Cancer Research at Nottingham. Specialisms cover Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Oncology, Haematology, Immunology, Microbiology and Pathology.

In addition to offering postgraduate research training programmes, the School runs several successful MSc courses: Immunology and Allergy, Oncology, Cancer Immunotherapy, Molecular Medical Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology. The School is a major contributor to undergraduate teaching and participates in the Nottingham and Derby Medical Courses as well as modules in Pharmacy and Microbiology.

The School is based on sites at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham City Hospital and the new Centre for Biomolecular Sciences on the main University campus.
