The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at our Newcastle Law School is your passport to a career as a successful lawyer, or a range of other related professions.

This degree is offered as a combined program which means you combine your Bachelor of Laws with another degree and get two qualifications in only five years of study. If you want to be a practising lawyer you can also complete the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and work as soon as you graduate.

Our University of Newcastle Legal Centre provides hands-on experience with opportunities to work on real cases and gain essential courtroom experience.

Entry requirements

There are a number of ways to gain entry to the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) program at the University of Newcastle. Students may be considered for admission on the basis of: 1.1.1. NSW HSC or equivalent - irrespective of age of qualification;1.1.2. Completed or partly completed higher education studies;1.1.3. TAFE qualifications;1.1.4.
