About Leadership and Management with Industrial Placement at University of Kent

Studying our CMI-accredited Leadership and Management course will open doors to many exciting employment roles. A good leader needs management skills, communication skills, organisational skills and team-building ability, but they also require a deep knowledge of business in order to lead the innovation of products and processes in a sustainable way

The MSc Leadership and Management course at Kent Business School will enable you to kickstart a career at the top of a chosen field by building graduates who strategise effectively and solve problems, efficiently. Through detailed learning of leadership and management theory, alongside practical experience, you'll graduate ready to manage change and lead teams successfully.

Taking a 12-month industrial placement allows you to gain work experience in the UK or overseas as part of your Master's. While the placements are self-sought, the School offers support through extra-curricular engagement with our dedicated placements team. Opting for this course with a placement takes the length of your course to up to two years.

You'll learn a broad overview of leadership and management in contemporary organisations, covering topics such as organisational behaviour, leadership theory and practice, corporate strategy, business analytics, strategic marketing, accounting and financial management and sustainability and corporate responsibility management. You will finish your master's with a detailed report with the support of a dedicated expert supervisor. At the end of Stage One, you start your Industrial Placement.
