About European Languages and Cultures at University of Exeter

This interdisciplinary programme explores in depth the diversities of European culture. A team of scholars of international repute, drawn from across Modern Languages, offers a wide range of research and teaching expertise spanning the fields of literature, film studies, philosophy, history, and literary translation. The modular programme allows students considerable flexibility and enables them to tailor a programme of study appropriate to their interests. The programme’s academic and methodological requirements, in addition to its intellectual challenge, equips students with a wide range of transferable skills and provide suitable preparation for MPhil/PhD research.

Entry requirementsA good Second Class Honours degree in Modern Languages, Humanities or Social Sciences. A good knowledge of at least one of French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish.
