About Medical History at University of Exeter
One of the core issues facing any advanced society is the health and welfare of its population, including the quality of the working life which its citizens enjoy. In recent years both academics and practitioners have become increasingly aware of the health implications and medical consequences of physical and emotional stress within the workplace. This programme offers a multidisciplinary study of the role of modern medicine in the workplace in an international context. It integrates the history of medicine and medical practice with contemporary issues in occupational and environmental health.
Entry requirementsNormally a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent in History or a related discipline. For the MA in Medical History an appropriate practical qualification and/or experience in disciplines or fields of direct relevance will also be acceptable; such students will typically be interviewed before an offer is made.
