About Maritime History at University of Exeter

This programme is built upon a long tradition of teaching maritime history at Exeter where it was the first Maritime History MA to be taught at a British university. Students produce a dissertation on a topic of their own choice, after having received a firm grounding in technological, economic and social aspects of maritime history from the early modern period onwards.

Entry requirementsNormally a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent in History or a related discipline. For the MA in Medical History an appropriate practical qualification and/or experience in disciplines or fields of direct relevance will also be acceptable; such students will typically be interviewed before an offer is made.
