About Computer Science and Mathematics at University of Exeter

Mathematics has long influenced the development of computer science, and the rapid growth of computing power has led to the development of techniques and algorithms which in turn have influenced mathematics. This programme provides a training in both mathematics and computer science and equips you to analyse problems and design solutions across the spectrum of the subjects. The final year project allows you to develop your interests in computer science to an advanced stage.

The four-year variant includes a year’s paid industrial placement in your third year, working on a substantial project and gaining first hand experience of the practical application of computer science and mathematics.
