The programme represents an innovative collaborative teaching response to an increasing demand for graduates with skills in fields of study relating to biological and sport sciences. It offers study in the fascinating and rapidly expanding area of the scientific aspects of human biology, health, physical activity and biotechnology and recognises the importance that exercise can play in the prevention and treatment of disease. It combines the study of biology, eg, molecular biology and biotechnology, with the various sub disciplines of exercise and sport sciences, including biomechanics and human exercise physiology.
