About Geography with Environmental Management at University of Exeter

We recognise that our students will have a very varied educational background with diverse A level combinations. The first year of all our programmes therefore provides grounding in both physical and human geography, in preparation for greater flexibility and specialisation in the second and final years.

As our Single Honours degrees have a common first year, you can choose to transfer between programmes at the end of the first year if your interests change (subject to performance).

After the first year, the core and optional modules vary in years 2 and 3 according to the degree you are taking. Optional modules include subjects as diverse as Landscape; Geography, Business and the Environment; Visual Geographies; Cultures of Empire; Issues in Climate Change; Alpine Environments; Long-term Landscape Evolution; and Integrated Science.
