Notes about fees for this course

In Germany all public universities are free of tuition fees. Since TU Dortmund University is a public institution there is no tuition fee for the MMT. However, students are requested to pay a social contribution fee.

Every semester all students must pay a social fee of about 300 EUR on enrollment and re-registration as a contribution to the costs of the social facilities provided by TU Dortmund University (i.e. AStA and Studierendenwerk). This fee also covers the costs for the semester ticket, with which students can use public transportation for travelling through the region of North Rhine-Westphalia. Only enrolled students are entiteled to receive the Semesterticket. In comparison to a monthly ticket which only covers the VRR area and not the whole of North Rhine-Wesitphalia you already save 136,54 € a month.
