Programme goals frame the learning outcomes for each course. Through the IELC, participants will:
Develop a theoretical foundation in theories of organizational leadership and change that strengthen their ability to analyze complex organizational and societal problems;
Grow as leaders who are able to analyze their own organizations as contexts for change and craft productive strategies for continuous professional development;
Enhance their personal development as organizational leaders, imbuing them with motivation, confidence and skills for life-long learning;
Broaden their awareness of global and regional organizational problems and identify evidence-based leadership practices that increase capacity for sustainable solutions;
Develop management and leadership skills that enhance their ability to achieve results with people and through organizational systems;
Cultivate their capacity for effective leadership in crosscultural contexts;
Become part of a network of scholar-practitioners in the Asia Pacific region that will enhance lifelong learning and career opportunities.
Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution in a non-English speaking system should normally fulfill one of the following minimum English proficiency requirements which may be subject to adjustment:
IELTS 6.0; or
a TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based test) or 80 (internet-based test) or
Band 6 in the Chinese Mainland's College English Test (CET) (a total score of no lower than 430 if the test was taken after June 2005); or
Other equivalent qualifications.
Minimum of 3 years professional experience in a role that offers opportunities to exercise leadership at the group, organization, or system level. If you are not sure of this, drop us a line.
