Course Overview

The Master's (MSc) in Financial Management is designed for students from any background who are interested in moving into a career in finance. Modules on the programme include: corporate finance, financial modelling, international financial markets, quantitative methodologies, and corporate governance and ethics. Graduates will also develop a sound understanding of the role and importance of accounting information in the financial management of complex organisations.

This programme combines the academic theory of finance with a strong practical perspective closely related to the world of finance, facilitating a sound understanding of finance and associated areas.

Annual tuition fees for entry in the academic year 2017/18 are as follows:

Tuition fees for years of study after your first year are subject to an increase of 3%.

Entry requirements

Students must attain a 2:2 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree. Any degree subject will be considered. 

We consider all applications on their merits and will look at each individual case before making an offer so students who fall slightly short of the entry criteria should still apply to the School of Management.

Non-native English speakers must achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no component less than 5.5. A list of equivalent tests are provided here. If you have studied an undergraduate degree taught through the medium of English you maybe exempt from this requirement - click here for further information.

For students who fall short of only the English language requirement we offer a range of Pre-Master's training programmes that you may take before starting your Master's qualification. Further details can be found here.
