About Chemistry (with a year abroad) at Swansea University

Course Overview

Our Chemistry degrees offer modern teaching in purpose built laboratories including online pre-lab material to ensure students feel safe and confident working in labs. Modules cover the main branches of chemistry, namely organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry and instrumental and analytical techniques.  These courses will develop both theoretical and practical skills, including lab classes that incorporate a blended, e-learning pre-lab workshop to ensure students are confident and competent to work in the labs in a safe and efficient manner.

Students will get the opportunity to spend a year abroad at one of our partner institutions. This is a marvellous opportunity to experience a different culture and, depending on the destination, to develop valuable language skills. Annual tuition fees for entry in the academic year 2017/18 are as follows:

UK/EU International BSc (Hons) Full-time £9,000 £15,000

Fees for full time Undergraduate UK/EU students may be increased in subsequent years of study by an inflationary amount determined by Welsh Government.

Fees for full time Undergraduate International students will increase by 3% for each subsequent year of study.
