The MA in Strategic Human Resource Management (HRM) course aims to provide experienced practitioners who are CIPD qualified with a challenging programme that develops their strategic competence. It is intended to provoke and challenge you in your thinking and expectations about how and why we manage people at work. The programme also challenges you to consider how different HRM approaches may be more effective in achieving corporate success.
The course is a 'top up' qualification intended to build upon the CIPD Postgraduate Diploma in HRM. It is designed as an extension programme linked to Continuing Professional Development. The programme is research oriented with the dissertation providing the 60 postgraduate level credits needed for you to attain a full Masters degree. An initial induction and then the option to participate in the Business Research Methodology sessions are the only 'fixed' times of on-campus attendance.

You are supported by a personal tutor, knowledgeable in their chosen area of study and who will be available for support throughout the research.
There is also the option to participate in the Business Research Methodology sessions.
