This course will provide students the opportunity to develop an understanding for the SAS programming language in connection with the SAS Base certification. SAS programming is a fourth-generation programming language (4GL) for data access, data transformation, analysis and reporting. This course is centered on hands-on projects to provide students with an industry feel. The range of data examples are general and cover a broad range of subject areas and industries. The course covers the following broad areas: ANOVA (analysis of variance), linear regression, logistic regression, preparing inputs for predictive model performance and measure model performance. This course aims to enhance the predictive and statistical modeling skills of students, giving students the opportunity to build a portfolio of hands-on projects to showcase their job readiness. It is also suitable to those whose work drive data-informed business outcomes. The SAS certificate at the end of the course is a valuable indication of the student's proficiency and would be a useful addition to a student’s CV.
