The course will develop your scientific and technical knowledge and skills, allowing you to help tackle the challenge of producing and manufacturing food for a growing population. You’ll also study the business and regulatory environment in which food businesses operate. Strong emphasis is placed on reinforcing theoretical knowledge with practical, work-based application, utilising food manufacturing pilot plant equipment.
The course is delivered on a day-release basis, one day a week. For the rest of the week you will be expected to work within the food industry (typically three days a week). This means you get to apply your learning directly to your products and workplace. You’ll also undertake independent studies, including working on your coursework.
