Benefit from joining this course as a part-time student while You're working in a veterinary clinic off campus and attending relevant workshops throughout the year. Streamline your learning by taking elective subjects that develop your specific work skills.

The full-time student option requires you to be available to attend on-campus two days per week at Fairfield campus and Epping campus. Additionally, you will be required to participate in work placement to further your practical skills.

We will also hold intensive practical workshops at Melbourne Polytechnic's Fairfield campus and at our brand new Veterinary Nursing Learning Centre, at the Epping campus.

This is a nationally recognised industry based qualification.

Note

This course is taught primarily at our Fairfield campus but will include teaching elements in your workplace/industry and from time-to-time attending classes at Epping campus (as required).

Entrance Requirements

  • apply through VTAC for our full-time on-campus course
  • you are required to have obtained a minimum 200 hours placement for each year (equivalent to 1 day per week for 25 weeks) and enrolled students will be covered by placement agreements with organised workplaces
  • completion of ACM20110 Certificate II in Animal Studies is preferred

Successful completion of this course will enable you to go on to the elective areas of our HEPIADVN Associate Degree of Veterinary Nursing
