A Masters qualification typically comprises 180 credits, a PGDip 120 credits, a PGCert 60 credits, and an MFA 300 credits. Tuition fees will remain the same for each year of study provided the course is completed in the normal timeframe (no repeat years or breaks in study).

Additional Costs

All of the books required for the course are available from the library. The University also has PC labs and a laptop loan service. However, many students choose to buy some of the core textbooks for the course and/or a laptop. Students may also need to print their assignments and other documents. Campus printing costs start from 5p per page. Estimated costs are £300 for a laptop up to £100 for books and printing. Total optional cost: £400

Department

This is an exclusive course aimed at professionals who hold qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or affiliate qualifications. 

This course presents an opportunity for qualified accountants to gain an academic qualification by studying just two units -Academic and Professional Development and your Dissertation.

The Academic and Professional Development unit will equip you with the knowledge and skills to identify and investigate accounting and finance strategies and practices used by organisations.

The dissertation will provide you with the opportunity to undertake a significant applied research project that looks into a particular accounting issue of interest to you. This research will usually take place in an organisational setting.

This programme is not suitable for overseas students. However, we do offer the MSc Strategic Business Management (online) programme which is an online distance learning course.
