Physiotherapy with specialisation in Behavioural Medicine is based on the integrated knowledge of human behaviour in function, activity and participation as well as health-related behavioural change. The programme will prepare you for a successful career with advanced assignments concerning the health problems of today and the future, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
This unique behavioural medicine specialisation highlights the connection between lifestyle and health. You will be given the prerequisites for the implementation of evidence-based measures and work with planning, investigating and evaluating activities, in both the public and the private sectors. This specialisation will also increase your opportunities to work with health promotion and you will be given the tools to work with change management.
You will study Physiotherapy against the background of the broader area of health and welfare. Issues concerning equality and participation, professional knowledge and development as well as creativity and innovation are in focus. You will also develop your understanding of leadership, groups and organisations as well as evidence-based praxis and evaluation. The programme is given in English and you will read the courses in Health and Welfare together with students from other Master’s programmes and research studies. The programme runs for two years but may be completed after one year with a Master’s degree of 60 credits. It is also possible to read the programme at half speed.
