Developing high-quality software products is a highly creative activity, and solutions often display levels of elegance and beauty. During your studies you will gain advanced skills in the theory, practice, tools and applications necessary for the design, management and deployment of computing systems based on contemporary software technologies and a critical understanding of architectures, frameworks and strategies for building software computer systems.
The degree will also form a strong foundation from which to develop and maintain effective software systems and adapt to future software development technologies.
The Department of Computer Science is highly rated for its research in the area of software engineering and this directly informs what you will study on the MComp programme. Additionally the programme was developed following extensive consultation with industry and the School hosts a regular industry advisory panel.
