By completing this degree, you will gain the high level technical and manufacturing expertise required to practice manufacturing engineering and function in the role of Chartered Engineer within the engineering and manufacturing industries.

Alongside the core engineering syllabus you will learn essential manufacturing techniques at all levels of the programme, in areas such as manufacturing processes and materials engineering plus as core business skills.
LJMU is currently seeking Institution of Mechanical Engineers accreditation for this new programme. Such accreditation will qualify you for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
If you perform particularly well in the first two years of this degree, you can transfer onto the MEng programme, which fully qualifies you to register as a Chartered Engineer.
