The Professional Education (Secondary) with Engineering Technologies is a programme run with the University of Stirling and is designed to prepare candidates to teach subjects such as Graphic Communication, Design & Manufacture and Engineering Science in secondary schools.
The programme includes courses from the Electrical and Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Mechanical Engineering programmes at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and the Initial Teacher Education programme at the University of Stirling.
The programme will require students to attend both institutions to receive tuition. Placements in schools, that are a part of the education training, can be arranged for any location in Scotland.

Entry to the professional programme is provisional until the end of Year 1 and subject to interview, a criminal record PVG check and successfully passing all first year modules. If you have a criminal record you should contact the Head of Admissions at University of Stirling in confidence to discuss entry to this course.
