Duke NUS Medical School traces its establishment to 2000, when Singapore set out on an ambitious biomedical sciences venture, with the aim of making Singapore the biomedical hub of Asia. In 2005, the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Duke formed a partnership to establish the medical school. Duke NUS offers MD and PhD programmes in medicine and/or research:
