About International Taxation and Finance at Bournemouth University

This course is delivered by the AACSB accredited Business School, an accreditation which places us within the top institutions globally for business degrees. Less than 5% of business schools worldwide have attained this hallmark of excellence which recognises a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching and student learning.

This interesting and wide-ranging course is a conversion course, which is ideal for graduates who would like to change subjects or career direction.

Modern businesses, especially those who operate in the international market, need a firm understanding of their financial position and their tax affairs. Here at the Business School, we have one of the UK's strongest teaching teams in taxation, and are therefore best positioned to provide you with a unique set of skills that are in high demand.

We begin by developing your understanding of how corporations report their financial data (Financial Reporting), before moving onto examine the implications international taxation and taxation policy can have for the modern global corporation. This course will also provide you with the transferable skills needed for a successful future career in accounting and finance: effective teamwork, objective analysis and effective communication.

Watch Dr Dermot McCarthy presenting 'Master's degrees in Accounting, Finance & Economics'. It will give you an excellent insight into each of the Master's courses we offer.
