About Portfolio Preparation for the Creative Arts at Arts University Bournemouth

Gain experience in different arts subjects and develop confidence in your creative abilities with this varied and stimulating course.

Over 3 weeks you will produce work for your physical and digital portfolio exploring subjects including Drawing and Illustration, Graphic Design, Fashion, Photography, Film, Architecture, Mixed Media and Print Making.

You will work on a series of themed projects across a mixture of art subjects to allow you to experiment and explore your own creative identity whilst also developing your understanding of key creative processes to enhance your work.

Your course tutors will offer guidance and support on creative application, as well as feedback on your artwork and advice on your future creative studies.

Notes about fees for this course

If you do not wish to stay on campus for the duration of the Summer School programme, the course costs are £1795. If you do wish to stay on campus for the duration of the programme, course fees are £3495. Included within this fee is the cost of your accommodation (single room with en suite bathroom), airport transfers, local campus buses, all meals, evening activities and weekend day trips. If you do not book to stay on campus, you cannot take part in evening and weekend trips due to restricted numbers and trip prearrangements.

Entry requirements

All the summer courses are taught in English. There are no formal English entry requirements, however we recommend you have an intermediate level of English in order to benefit fully from your experience on our summer courses and be able to communicate with your course leader and fellow students.
